I begin this awesome abhyasa [Discipline-in this case Spiritual Practice] by seeking Adi Guru Sankaracharya’s[[The author of Advaita School of Hindu Philosophy] anugraha [Divine Blessing]. But first I bow to ancient seers who left us the blessed legacy of the Vedas by acknowledging and sharing this plea to the God of ancestors.
Namo paramam Rishibhyo, Namo paramam Rishibhiyaha
“आ नो भद्राः क्रतवो यन्तु विश्वत:”
Aa No Bhadraha, krutvo Yantu Vishwataha!
Let noble thoughts come to us from every side. Rk Veda I: 89:
“Hrudaye kalaye vimalam Charanam,
Bhava Sankara Desika me sharanam”
On Thy faultless feet I meditate in my heart,
Be Thou my refuge O Master, Sankara!

When I had the high honor and distinct privilege to chant prayers at the end of Selection committee meeting on 02 07 21 I chanted Shlokas #1, # 2, #8 audibly, my emotional experiences in the long stressful meeting didn’t permit me to chant the following shlokas audibly # 3, #4, #9 and #10 which I chant regularly at home or wherever I may be morning noon and night and I didn’t want to extend the meeting to re-equilibrate myself.
